The BALSAMS is "New England's Resort" an historic destination high in New Hampshire's White Mountains and deep in the Great North Woods.
For some 140 years, The BALSAMS has welcomed guests on vacation or convention from around the world to Dixville Notch to experience its classic all-inclusive American plan hospitality which features: private guest room accommodations; gold medal table d'hôte dining; free and unlimited use of all facilities, activities, and amenities of this 15,000-acre estate.
From May to October guests enjoy complimentary golf, tennis, fishing, boating swimming, hiking and biking trails, and in July and August an all-day children's camp program. During the winter season the region takes on a beautiful coat of snow and the resort assumes its winter appearance and title The BALSAMS Wilderness. The resort offers on site complimentary snowboarding, alpine and cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice skating as its outdoor snowsport activities. Year round there are three rooms of live entertainment, movies, concerts, lectures, and fun and games fill the evenings. The service is friendly and obliging.
