With a wedding coordinator on site, Rumours specializes in luxury weddings with attention to detail - ensuring that the standard provided will be a wonderful experience for this extremely special day of your lives.

If you want your family and friends to be with you - Rumours Of Romance is a small enough tropical South Pacific resort to book out for your own group, yet big enough to accommodate all in a way that you can be together but still retain your privacy in each villa.

Cook Islands Weddings - Documentation Requirements
Application for a Marriage Licence must be made in person to the Registrar of Marriages in the Cook Islands at least three working days prior to marriage, not including the day of application. This requirement can sometimes be waived but with good reason, and written request in advance. ($50 waiver fee applies). Rumours' wedding coordinator can assist you with this documentation.

Your Passport and Birth Certificate will be required when filling out the Notice Of Intended Marriage at the Registrars Office. If divorced, a copy of your Decree Nisi or Death Certificate of previous spouse is required. Documents must be in English.

The resort has three especially thought out Wedding Packages that are very flexible can be tailored to suit your personal requests.

Honeymoons

All villas have all their bedrooms directly positioned to take in the most wonderful setting possible, and you can enjoy your complimentary champagne either sitting on the deck overlooking the lagoon, or on the deck overlooking the waterfall into your private pool and tropical garden area with the romantic lighting designed to give an additional dimension to the ambiance.

All honeymoon couples staying a minimum of five nights at Rumours, Rarotonga receive a complimentary Champagne Lunch Hamper delivered to their villa on the morning of their choice, and two half-hour massages in the new Waterfall Spa facility. Just let Rumours know when you make your booking if you are on your honeymoon and they will make sure it is an inclusive part of your holiday destination package!! (Valid through till 31st March 09.)

In addition to the above inclusion, Rumours has a range of wonderful seven-night honeymoon packages available including some very relaxing and soothing spa treatments that can be taken either in the new Waterfall Spa facility, or in the comfort of your own villa – your choice! These packages are well worth staying seven nights if you have that time available for your South Pacific holiday.

As all the villas have a great surround sound stereo system, if you have some favorite CDs you would like to enjoy while enjoying the warm evening air on your deck or beside the pool, bring them with you. However, Rumours also has a good range of romantic music in their CD library that are there for you to use in your villa and enjoy.
