Dining Options
Rumours Luxury Villas & Spa is a luxury boutique South Pacific destination property with a total of seven villas plus an exclusive Spa Facility for guests only. While Rumours is happy to have this wonderful provision for guests, they feel that for a restaurant to function as it should, the guests from only seven villas would not justify the operational requirements, and to open it to the public would detract from the retreat privacy and exclusiveness that Rumours Luxury Villas & Spa is committed to providing. For these reasons, there is no restaurant on site.
However, Rumours is very mindful of keeping a good range of dining options available to guests and there is an extensive range of dining options available.

Daily Breakfasts
These are provided for all guests on a complimentary basis - inclusive in the rates, and consist of either a full self-cook American style breakfast including bacon, eggs, hash browns, tomatoes, or a full tropical continental breakfast package, including freshly made smoothies with local seasonal fruit. These breakfasts can be delivered at the time of your choice each day of your stay.
Champagne Breakfast
This extra special breakfast is available for an extra special occasion where you really want to enjoy sheer indulgence. Again this sumptuous treat will be delivered to your villa at the time of your choice.

Brunch Hampers
Again this hampers can be delivered to your villa at a time of your choice and maybe you would like to enjoy it in the villa, take it down on to the beach or pop in the car and go exploring, enjoying it in another scenic location on the island.

Pre-Provisioning
Because the villas are all outfitted with extremely functional and well set out kitchens, Rumours has had some high profile guests who prefer to remain anonymous and just need the space and time to “regroup” before heading off to busy lives, so as well as enjoying meals delivered, have asked that villas be pre-stocked with food prior to their arrival. Rumours is very happy to offer this service to all guests and on receiving their provisioning requests will ensure that everything has been purchased and installed properly in the villa kitchen so it is there for them as they require it on arrival.
Fully Cheffed Barbeques
This is one of Rumours' most popular requests. The chef comes at the time he is requested to (with 24 hours notice) and cooks on either your BBQ by the pool or your BBQ on the lagoon side as you prefer, a wonderful sumptuous island barbeque with local fish, meats and tropical style sides and flavors that will really delight the tastebuds, along with wines to compliment the meal being served.
Private Fully Cheffed Gourmet Dinners
A wonderful way to add to a special occasion, a marriage proposal, engagement, anniversary, wedding, honeymoon etc. Here, the chef will come in, bring all food he is going to cook all ready just to cook and serve to you, with the wines suited to the occasion and the particular course being served, from entrées through to dessert.

Restaurants
The South Pacific island of Rarotonga now hosts an excellent range of restaurants inclusive of wines, with many of these being within a very close range of Rumours Luxury Villas & Spa – either within a 15 to 20-minute stroll along the beach, or a three-minute drive or scooter ride away.
If you have a scooter and are not too keen on riding it at night, then one or two of the close restaurants have a “pick up and drop off” at service where for another $10 on to the cost of your meal, the hassle is taken out of getting there and back to/from your destination. Most of the restaurants offer a full range of meals including fish, chicken and red meat as well as vegetarian package options.
