Marriage in the British Virgin Islands requires establishing "residency" for at least three business days. On the first day after arrival in the BVI, a representative from the resort will escort the couple into Road Town to accomplish the following: - File formal wedding license application with the Attorney General (couple must be prepared to present their passports, immigration cards, and where applicable, certified divorce papers and/or death certificates.
