Dolphin Viewing

Dolphin Viewing The white sand banks and surrounding waters at West End are home to hundreds of spotted dolphins.

Snorkeling

Snorkeling The region surrounding West End and the offshore cays is rich with shipwrecks from the Spanish Galleon era. Old Bahama Bay has mapped out a series of seven snorkel trails surrounding the property and the neighboring cays, all within one mile of shore. Snorkel enthusiasts of all levels will enjoy experiencing one of the most comprehensive water exploration programs in the Caribbean.

Fishing

Fishing The historic West End continues to provide fishing enthusiasts with some of the finest sport fishing anywhere in the world. The shallows of the Little Bahama Bank, to the north and east of West End, provide over 80 square miles of flats that will test any angler's fly fishing skills.

The Little Bahama Bank is excellent for snook, permit and bonefish - one of the most challenging game fish. Reef fishing abounds just minutes from the Old Bahama Bay marina with numerous varieties of snapper, grouper and a multitude of other reef dwelling species.

When it comes to deep sea fishing, Old Bahama Bay offers some of the world's finest marlin, tuna, dolphin and wahoo fishing with its close proximity to the warm and nutrient waters of the Gulf Stream. Rates and arrangements for boats, guides and equipment are available from the Old Bahama Bay Reception.
