Lodge Rooms
The new Cornucopia Lodge is scheduled for opening in the summer of 2006. You'll see views from the lodge of the magnificant Wallowa Mountains on the southern boundary the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. Much of that mountain wilderness lies within the 1200 square mile Wallowa Mountain range as part of the 360,000-acre Eagle Cap Wilderness, an area with scenic wild rivers like the Minam and Imnaha, 53 high mountain lakes, 540 miles of trails, granite crags, and steep-walled valleys formed by ancient glaciers.

Near Hell's Canyon
The lodge is also a short drive to Hell's Canyon, the deepest river gorge in North America. It runs along the border of Idaho and Oregon and was cut by the Snake River. The Oregon rim of the canyon is more than a mile above the river and the Idaho rim measures 8000 feet from the top of He Devil Mountain to the riverbank. That is over 2000 feet deeper than the Grand Canyon!

The Perfect Location
Just think of it. You can walk a short distance from the lodge right into Eagle Cap Wilderness, Oregon's largest designated wilderness area, and you're a short drive from the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area. The elevation of the lodge is 4,700 feet above sea level, which means you'll have to make little adjustment to altitude.
