Welcome to Cornucopia Lodge! Cornucopia Lodge is open most of the year and is nestled in the beautiful Wallowa Mountains of Northeast Oregon. Forests and granite peaks surround the lodge and cabins, which are adjacent to the 600,000-acre Eagle Cap Wilderness. Just one mile from the lodge is the ghost town of Cornucopia, named after a gold mine that produced millions in treasure.
The Wallowa Mountains are renowned for their year round beauty. Together with Cornucopia Lodge, they make the perfect mountain retreat. Whether you want to go for a trail ride, pack trip, or hike into the Eagle Cap for Hells Canyon Wilderness, this is the perfect getaway. If you are a snowmobiler, the lodge has access to 180 miles of groomed trails. Cornucopia Lodge will cater to your needs to make sure your stay is truly memorable.
Cornucopia Lodge consists of three one-bedroom and three two-bedroom private cabins. Meals are served in the pack station dining hall. A new lodge is being planned and scheduled for opening in the near future. The new Cornucopia Lodge will offer two beautiful rooms with breathtaking views. The lodge and cabins provide you with fantastic views of Cornucopia Peak and Red, Simmons, and Granite Mountains.
The cabins you will be staying in give you a true western wilderness experience, with the feeling of solitude. The lodge and cabins are open from June 15th through April 30th so that you may experience the unforgettable beauty of the different seasons. This is one experience you will never forget!
During the winter months, you will be able to snowmobile up to the cabins and spend the night. At Cornucopia Lodge, whether you spend your day snowmobiling in the surrounding mountains or settle in one of the comfortable cabins reading a book, you will enjoy piping hot, home-cooked meals prepared by your hosts, Bill and Peggy Barnett.
In the summer and fall months, Cornucopia Lodge offers a variety of activities including daily trail rides, custom pack trips, fishing, youth horse camps, and hiking. If you are a company or large group looking for an outing, the lodge can customize an outing of your choice.
Just 24 miles from Cornucopia Lodge is Brownlee Reservoir. Well known for it’s catfish, crappie, bass, and trout fishing, the reservoir can provide you with a fun-filled day of fishing, swimming, and boating. After spending a day on the water, you can arrive back at the lodge to a home-cooked meal and a quiet evening relaxing in your private cabin.

Summer at Cornucopia Lodge Cornucopia Lodge offers many different pack trips and camps. These include The Prospector and Pine Lakes Camp, which include a lodge room or cabin with your pack trips. They also offer the Sourdough Special, Chief Joseph, River Camp, The Annual Poker Run Trail Ride, day rides and Wilderness Horse Camp.
Fall and Winter at Cornucopia Lodge During hunting seasons, Cornucopia Lodge offers special lodge hunt packages for those that would like to day hunt and then return to an inviting and warm cabin in the evening for rest and relaxation.
If you are an avid snowmobiler and would like to get away for a few days, you can snowmobile up to the lodge and spend a few days snowmobiling on over 150 miles of groomed trails. You will return each night to your cozy mountain cabin or lodge room and a piping hot home cooked meal.
Also available are nightly rentals for those who would just like to get away for a night.
